Welcome

shelterisland111

Dear Friends & Family,

Welcome to our wedding website! We hope you’ll use this site to learn more about our upcoming wedding in Santa Barbara and get ready to have fun. We’ll share some of our favorite places in the area to dine, shop, sightsee, and relax. We’ve lived in a lot of cities, but Santa Barbara will always be a special place for us – this was our first home together. Also, it’s a good midway point between our current home in Santa Monica and many of the friends and family who live in San Francisco (our second favorite city) and the Bay Area.

Our wedding ceremony will take place outdoors on the Monte Vista Lawn at the Four Seasons Biltmore in Montecito – an idyllic town with wonderful beaches and amazing hiking trails. The Biltmore is right on the beach with beautiful Spanish architecture and lush tropical gardens. Following the ceremony we will have the reception in the Loggia Ballroom with dinner and dancing.

After being together for six years, once we were engaged we knew we wanted to get married quickly and were thrilled to hear the Biltmore was available in August. But did you know some couples have been planning to get married on August 8, 2008 for years? As my Aunt Cathy pointed out, the number 8 in Cantonese sounds much like the word for “prosper” or “blossom”, making 08-08-08 a special day indeed! What truly will make this day special is to be surrounded by our loved ones and friends. We look forward to seeing all of you this summer!
